In 2020, domestic oil production grew by 5.7% and reached 2.9 million barrels/day. The increase was led by the supply of Pre-Salt oil, which reached an average of 2 million barrels/day in the year, corresponding to approximately 69.4% of the country’s production. Similarly, natural gas production increased by 4.3%, in its 11th consecutive year of growth (According to ANP data for 2020).
